Third Church members that are at least 18 years old will have the opportunity to vote on three important matters: 1) election of new elders and deacons, 2) the approval of the fiscal 2025 budget, and 3) bylaw changes to align with our organizationl changes after leaving the RCA.
You can participate in the congregational vote in the following ways:
VOTE BY ABSENTEE BALLOT*
Ballots may be picked up at the following times/locations:
June 16 | The Welcome Center
June 17-20 | Church office from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
June 21 | Church office from 8:00 am - noon
*To be valid, completed absentee ballots must be turned in to the church office by noon on Friday, June 21.
VOTE IN PERSON
Sunday, June 23 | from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Attend the Congregational Prayer Meeting at 9:15 am in the Chapel to pray and vote together. You can also place your vote between 9:00 am-12:30 pm at the voting tables outside the Chapel and Auditorium on Sunday morning.
A letter has been mailed to assist you with your voting decision. In it you will find a sample ballot for elders and deacons, frequently asked questions about elder and deacon responsibilities, a financial summary along with information on the fiscal 2025 budget, as well as the proposed bylaw changes. Learn more about the elder and deacon candidates up for election using the link included in the letter or picking up a handout available at the church beginning June 2.
