Join us as we eagerly anticipate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Begins December 1
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s hard to be patient. But as our character is formed and we mature in our faith, we must learn to wait on God’s timing. This Advent, we’ll look at five biblical figures who had to practice patience as they awaited the coming Savior and learn how patience precedes peace—and peace arrives in the most unlikely circumstances.
This Advent, we will be using a prayer journal to help center our hearts and minds on Christ. Each day throughout the month of December, you’ll read the assigned passage in the booklet and use the allotted space to write what comes to mind.
During the Advent season, we’ll be using several practices to quiet our souls and direct our thoughts to God.
Prayer of Silence: During each Advent Sunday, we will begin our service with a prayer of silence to focus our hearts and minds.
Silencing Screens: One day per week, we will silence a favorite screen and give attention to someone else in its place. Then, we invite you to share what God did through this intentional time of connection!
At Third Church, we want to be a generous and thoughtful people—and we want to empower you to do that through a reverse offering. Here’s how it works.
Tuesday, December 24
3:00, 4:30, and 6:00 pm
Join us for an evening of hope as we gather to worship and celebrate the unlikely arrival of peace through the birth of Jesus Christ.
Our Christmas services tend to fill up, so we’d recommend showing up about 10 minutes earlier to allow enough time to park and get seated.
Each service is about an hour.
We will livestream our 4:30 pm service on our YouTube channel.
Childcare is available for children ages birth–2 years old in our Ladybug room (upstairs) for the 3:00 and 4:30 services.
Starting in January 2025, we will be building on our established Neighborhood groups. These mid-sized groups are an incredible way to build community in the everyday—not just on Sundays—and make it easier to get connected with others. Stay tuned for more information coming soon!
