Sunday Worship Services

We are excited for the opportunity to worship together again as we take steps in reopening the church for Sunday services.

Sunday worship services will be held in the Sanctuary at 8:00, 9:15 and 11:00 am with live worship and teaching. There is opportunity to worship in the Auditorium and Chapel at 9:15 and 11:00 am via a video feed from the Sanctuary. Our worship services follow guidelines for reduced seating capacity to accommodate social distancing.

Public health continues to encourage those with pre-existing medial conditions and those older than 65 to continue to limit their activities outside of their home. In the end, the decision of when to return to church (or any public setting) is up to each individual.

The 9:15 service will continue to be livestreamed as well as available for viewing after the service time in the Media Library on our website and on our YouTube channel.

Sunday Service Registration

Because space is very limited due to social distancing requirements, all those who plan to attend in person will need to sign up in advance to reserve their place.

To reserve your place for Sunday morning, register below or call the church office at 641-628-3051.
Please use one form submission for all the names of those in your family who will be attending.

What to Expect

Social Distance

We ask those who will be attending a Sunday service that you only visit the venue for the specific time you selected when you registered. Social distancing guidelines will be in effect in worship venues. We will have seating marked off to make adherence to these guidelines as easy as possible. Members of the same household may sit together and all others should sit six feet apart. We will define “household” as those family or non-family members who have been spending significant time together already. This could include, but would not be limited to single friends sitting together or with other families and extended families sitting together. The wearing of masks is optional for staff, volunteers and the congregation.

Worship Experience

Sunday mornings will look different than we are used to here at Third. Services are held at 8:00, 9:15 & 11:00 am in the Sanctuary with live worship and teaching. The 9:15 & 11:00 services will be available in the Auditorium and Chapel via video feed from the Sanctuary. We aren’t able to encourage fellowship and social gathering before or after services in lobby areas at this time, so we ask for timely entry and exit.

At this time there will be no, in-person prayer ministry, coffee time, meet and greet, communion, handshakes or hugs and Third Place Café will not be open on Sundays. All Bibles have also been removed from the worship venues due to the difficulty in sanitizing them. Don’t forget to bring yours from home!

Offering

We will not pass offering plates. There will be giving boxes for offering collection located in the lobby by the Sanctuary, in the Fellowship Hall near the Chapel and near the Auditorium main entrance. Or you can still choose other options for giving.
