What to Expect
Social Distance
We ask those who will be attending a Sunday service that you only visit the venue for the specific time you selected when you registered. Social distancing guidelines will be in effect in worship venues. We will have seating marked off to make adherence to these guidelines as easy as possible. Members of the same household may sit together and all others should sit six feet apart. We will define “household” as those family or non-family members who have been spending significant time together already. This could include, but would not be limited to single friends sitting together or with other families and extended families sitting together. We encourage but do not require masks in Sunday worship services. We have created an overview of guidelines for ministries, worship and events at Third Church during COVID-19.
Worship Experience
Sunday mornings will look different than we are used to here at Third. We aren’t able to encourage fellowship and social gathering before or after services in lobby areas at this time, so we ask for timely entry and exit. At this time there will be no in-person prayer ministry, coffee time, meet and greet, communion, handshakes or hugs and Third Place Café will not be open on Sundays. All Bibles have also been removed from the worship venues due to the difficulty in sanitizing them. Don’t forget to bring yours from home!
Offering
We will not pass offering plates. There will be giving boxes for offering collection located in the lobby by the Sanctuary, in the Fellowship Hall near the Chapel and near the Auditorium main entrance. Or you can still choose other options for giving.
