What is the third health ministry?
The Health Ministry utlilizes Christian health professionals to integrate faith and health in ways that promote, prepare and protect the wellness of the Third Church family.
Who is a Third Nurse Coach?
Third Nurses have one foot in nursing and the other foot in faith. They bring with their nursing expertise, enhanced by their faith to provide support during a significant health issue such as diabetes, heart problems, cancer or even a new baby.
How does the Health Ministry use Third Nurses?
- Third Nurse Health Advocate Team: This team will promote wellness by planning health promotional events at Third Church, such as donor programs and health screenings.
- Third Nurse Health Education Team: This team will coordinate educational programs in order to promote healthier lifestyles by integrating spirituality with health.
- Third Nurse Health Coach Team: This team is made up of nurses who will make one-on-one visits with people from the Third Church family who could benefilt from health coaching during a significant health issue. These short-term visits will provide individual health counseling, education, assessing compliance with treatment and provide spiritual presence/support.
