When are your weekend services? On Sunday mornings we have five services; 8:00, 9:15 and 11:00 in the sanctuary, and 9:15 and 11:00 in the auditorium.
What is worship like in the sanctuary services?
The 8:00 service is a blend of traditional and contemporary music. Praise choruses and hymns are sung accompanied by piano, organ, or keyboard, guitar and drums. A choir leads worship quarterly. At the 9:15 and 11:00 am services, worship is contemporary with a full band and energetic, contemporary worship songs.
What is worship like in the auditorium services?
These services focus on the main theme of becoming a people marked by the “Chain Reaction of Praise.” When we praise the Lord with our whole beings, our faith is activated; we learn to pray powerful God honoring prayers in our lives; and we overcome evil with good as we are learning to rule and reign with Christ in our hearts. Messages are delivered by both laity and staff who are committed to the work of Jesus Christ here at Third Church. Worship style is contemporary and invitingly participatory in nature. Our goal is to become an Ephesians 4:13 gathering, “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Informality and fellowship mark our gatherings.
What should I wear?
Anything that makes you comfortable! You'll see everything from dresses and ties, to jeans and t-shirts.
How will I know where to go?
There are greeters to welcome you at each door on Sunday mornings, and they would also be happy to answer your questions and direct you to the right place. Other great resources are our Welcome Center and Guest Desk on the upper level near the Main Entrance doors. Someone is always there between services to give you information or offer any help you need. Signs are also placed around the church to point you in the right direction.
