Children's Ministry

The name of Children's Ministry at Third Church is t3kids!  As with all logos the components have a telling impact on who we are and what we do.  The first letter of the name is a lowercase "t".  Although pronounced as "t", the representation is actually the cross.  The cross, a symbol of Christ's work on Calvary, is the foundation for everything that we are and everything that we do.  It is first in our source of life and in our name.  The number "3" is organic in nature and can mean a variety of things; the triune God...Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Third Church. Connect, Grow, Serve.  "Kids" are the focus in who we are training to become disciples.  Also unfolding is the significant reminder that we are all God's kids.  The mission statement for t3kids is "Sending our servant-hearted children with a passion for Jesus into the world."

The tagline for t3kids is “Explore, Experience, and Express”.  This also has a telling impact on who we are and what we do.  “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not whither.  Whatever he does prospers.  Not so the wicked!  They are like chaff that the wind blows away.  Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.  For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.”   (Psalm 1)  t3Kids will seek to walk the paths of righteousness.  The paths of the righteous offer blessings, are filled with fruit and prosperity, and are watched over by the Lord.  Children’s ministry will tender this path by making space for kids to explore the Kingdom of God, prepare for growth by experiencing the things of God and offer the essential element of expressing faith in God.

Explore, Experience, and Express, are also used as the foundations for the Children’s Ministry age groups. Additional information on each group is provided on the website!

                Experience: K-3rd Grade

                Express: 4-6th Grade
